This is sort of a neverending series of drabbles (exactly 100 words) following the adventures of a guy. Very surreal, and very weird, but sort of good.
For miles around, all there is is desert.
Everywhere, that is, except for here. In the middle of the lifeless sands lies an oasis. It's a traditional sort of oasis, with two palm trees and a calm, clear pool of water: the sort that only appears in one's imagination.
Wind blows all around, shifting the sand mercilessly. The trees' leaves also obey the wind, swaying gracefully in the proper direction, but the water stays still, and no sand strays to its surface.
Next to the pool of water is a large rock. And on this rock, a man sits.

Another man appears from out of nowhere.
"Hello," he says to the original.
"Hello," says the original, startled. "Who are you? Where am I?"
"Here."
"I see. And who are you?"
"I am here."
"But who are you?"
"I am here."
"But I said, 'Who are you?'"
"No more questions! Follow me." He jumps into the water, disappearing without a ripple. The original waits, and although the second man doesn't reappear, his instruction continues.
"Follow me! Follow me!" The chant is loud and insistent. "Follow me!"
"All right, all right!" The man takes a breath and jumps into the water.
