A/N: Uh, yeah, some parts of this are a song, but I only used an itty bit of the song so really, it’s not a songfic…
So here’s .oo1 of the Kaiora Challenge! :3
(Can anyone tell I’m in a holiday-ish mood? xD) >>December 25th, 2oo6
Okay, so Christmas is supposed to be a happy time, right? Well, it is. Destiny Islands, albeit living in a tropical climate with no snow, was a very festive place. Christmas was also Sora’s birthday, ironically. (“His birthday’s on Christmas, and when he stabbed himself, he bled no blood, but light. This proves Sora’s Jesus.” Riku would always joke.)
It was also the day Sora had to leave again to save the worlds.
Sora and Riku received a letter from the King, saying that they needed to go fight again.
It also said not to bring Kairi, for worlds where a Princess of Heart resided were protected from the danger of the Chasers.
Violet eyes wrenched shut with pain as her two friends left through a black portal. She never wanted this day to come. Ever. The day they had gotten rid of Xehanort was supposed to be the end. “Wherever one of us goes, the other follows”, whatever the hell happened to that?! Just the possibility she could never see Sora again.
Sora. . .
He was perfect. Like a dream come true. Kairi had often gotten lost in oceanic blue eyes, those eyes that were always filled with concern and determination. She just wanted to run her fingers through his chocolate spikes of hair, and kiss him until he couldn’t see straight.
Was that too much to ask?
Apparently, it was.
“Please, Sora, don’t go… Not now…” Kairi begged, clinging to Sora’s hand, her violet eyes pleading, pearly tears streaming down her cheeks, speckling the sand as they hit the ground.
“Kairi… I have to.” Sora said for the thousandth (millionth?) time, but did not sound exasperated, for with every time he repeated it he sounded more sorry and heartbroken than before. His hand left Kairi’s as Riku beckoned for Sora to follow, and Kairi could still feel the warmth from his touch.
“Kairi, remember what you said before? I’ll come back to you! I promise!”
“I know you will!”
There was the possibility he couldn’t keep that promise this time. Every single star was a world, right? There were billions. He would have to save the worlds. One step at a time. He would probably never finish saving them all.
“Sora, wait!” Kairi choked out, and Sora turned around, and their eyes locked for one last time.
“I love you.” Kairi said softly, stating those three simple words, and she threw her arms around Sora’s neck and gently kissed him on the lips. Her eyelids fluttered shut and her eyelashes tickled Sora’s face, leaving her tears on his skin. When they broke apart, Kairi looked away.
“Go.” She said, her voice low. “Just go.”
“Sora! Come on! The King’s waiting!” Riku said again, and Sora followed his friend into the portal. When it shut, Kairi crumpled to the ground on her knees, shaking violently, crying for the loss of love.
I don't want a lot for Christmas There's just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents Underneath the Christmas tree I just want you for my own More than you could ever know Make my wish come t r u e All I want for Christmas is... …Y o u…>>December 25th, 2o11Riku had come home. Sora had not. Kairi begged her silver haired friend to tell her what had happened to him. Riku would not say a word, but merely shook his head sadly. Kairi didn’t want to fear the worst. Perhaps that’s why she didn’t go to his funeral. The King had arranged a large funeral for Sora, who had been gone now for quite some time. Many from other worlds attended. Kairi refused to come, no matter what anyone else said. “Are you coming?” They would ask, it was so obvious Kairi had been head over heels for Sora. “No.” She would reply, purple colored eyes steely. “Why not?” “Because he is not dead.” Everyone would just ‘tsk’. She knew what they said behind her back. (“The poor girl, she refuses to believe that he’s really gone. That he isn’t coming back.”) Kairi sighed as she left a rose on his grave. Today was his birthday. Today was also the day she finally gave up. He wasn’t coming home. Not now, not ever. And she knew it. I won't ask for much this Christmas I don't even wish for snow I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the .m.i.s.t.l.e.t.o.e.I won't make a list and send it To the North Pole for Saint Nick I won't even stay awake to Hear those magic reindeers click 'Cause I just want you here tonight Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do Baby all I want for Christmas is you >>December 25th, 2o16Sora smiled happily as he walked along the streets of Destiny Islands. He was home, home at last. After 4 years of adventuring, and 5 years of being stuck in Kingdom Hearts, which he now referred to as the 10th Circle of Hell. There was one person Sora wanted to see more than anyone, one person he cared more for than anything. Kairi. He never got to tell her than he loved her. And when he and Riku split up in the End of the Worlds, Sora assumed he never would. His morale got even lower as he got trapped inside Kingdom Hearts. But he finally escaped, after all these years. He wondered what had happened to Riku, but knowing his friend, he did not worry at all, for a long time ago back in The World That Never Was, Sora had worried and made himself look really stupid. He also wondered what had become of Kairi… Did she still love him, after all of this? He still loved her. No matter what, that’d never change. Sora blinked as he reached her doorstep. What if she, say, had fallen in love with someone else? It was possible. After all, he had been gone so long, people would begin to think something had happened to him. Sora shook his head of chocolaty brown spikes. If she had given up, the he would have to as well. So with a sigh, he rang the doorbell, and Kairi answered it. Hell, that was an awkward silence if there ever was one. “Sora…?” Kairi said softly, her statement turning itself into a question. It took Sora a moment to respond. Sure, Kairi was beautiful when they were teens, but now she was just drop-dead gorgeous. Her hair now came past her shoulders and her eyes sparkled even more than they did before, making them like shimmering amethysts. Her smile was also ten times as prettier. “Kairi…?” Sora said, wondering if this beautiful woman was the pretty girl he had fallen in love with at the age of seven. “It’s you, isn’t it? It’s really you.” Kairi said softly, smiling gently, red wine locks falling across her face. Sora clasped her hands. “It is. It really is.” Sora said, smiling his crooked grin like he did back when everything was normal. However, the moment was interrupted by a little tuft of silvery hair. Sora then looked down and noted the tuft of hair was actually a five year old kid. The kid poked Kairi. “Marlene and Denzel want to know if I can go play hide and go seek with them.” He said, sweetly. Kairi nodded. “Okay, Zephie.” She said, nodding. The kid skipped off. Sora blanched. So Kairi did fall in love with someone else. Well, that was to be expected, wasn’t it? He had been gone for ten years. He didn’t even manage to tell Kairi that he loved her back that fateful day years ago. She probably thought it was love unrequited. Sora gave a small sigh and shuffled his feet. “Uh. Who’s the father?” He said, gesturing to where Zephie once was. “Riku.” Kairi replied, and Sora felt like a ton of bricks just hit him. Fuck Riku! Left me in Kingdom Hearts to die, and now he takes Kairi away from me! The little bastard! Sora thought, enraged, and then Kairi began to giggle. “Hahaha, you should’ve seen your face! Zephie isn’t mine, he’s Yuffie’s. I’m just watching him until Riku and Yuffie come back from their little party they were at last night. Knowing them, they probably have huge hangovers.” Kairi said, and continued to laugh. Sora softened, and in his mind took Riku off his ‘No Forgiveness’ list. “Riku and… Yuffie?! Have I missed something?!” Sora chuckled, and Kairi too laughed. “You’ve missed a lot, really.” She said, tucking some red tresses back behind her right ear. “Gah.” Sora said, shaking his head. “Next thing you know, you’re going to tell me Tidus has paired up with the Queen of Hyperness, also known as Yuna…” Kairi grinned. “Well, then I won’t, because he has. Match made in hell, really. The world died of sugar overdose the day of their wedding.” She then motioned for him to come inside. “Come on, I’ll tell you everything.” She paused. “That is, if you tell me everything first. From the beginning of when you left.” “Okay.” Sora said as he walked inside. “Well,” he started, and Kairi looked at him intently, “to start from the very beginning, there is something I wanted to say to you but never go to…” He said calmly but his heart was racing a million miles an hour. He slid his arms around her waist and drew her close and then whispered into her ear. “I love you too, Kai…” He said quietly, using the nickname only he was allowed to use. Then next thing Sora knew Kairi slammed him back against the wall and began to kiss him fiercely, and he pressed his lips back against hers. After a while, they began to need an itty bitsy thing entitled ‘oxygen’ and they broke apart. “Geez, Kairi, we aren’t even under any mistletoe.” He chuckled and Kairi nestled her head in the crook of his neck. “Who says I need an excuse to kiss you?” She said with a bit of a purr, trailing her finger along his jaw. Sora let out a little ‘heh’ and just held her for a bit. “By the way,” Sora said, and Kairi looked up at him, “what do you want for Christmas?” Kairi giggled softly. Sora smiled, he loved her laugh, it was like windchimes. “I already got what I wanted for Christmas.” “And what would that be?” Sora inquired. Oh I don't want a lot for Christmas This is all I'm asking for I just want to see my baby Standing right outside my door Oh I just want you for my own More than you could ever know Make my .wish. come t r u e Baby all I want for Christmas is... “You.” Kairi replied, smiling. A/N: 1…2…3… Awwwww!

A/N: And here I am in all my glory. :3 Mine is sad... Gah. Stupid Kairi and Sora.
Purity
“Sora,” Kairi whispers into Sora's ear. “Well here we are,” she says blanky, and they both know why they're there.
“Yes Kairi,” Sora says quietly. “Are you ready? I have the note and the gun.”
Kairi nods, then smashes her lips against his. “I'm ready, no backing out now. I love so much.”
“Ditto,” Sora says, and kisses her again, passionately. “So, shall I go first, or shall you?” he asks, with a smile.
“Tut tut Sora,” Kairi mocks playfully. “Didn't your mama ever teach you any manners, young child?” she picks up the gun. “Ladies first,” she holds the gun to her head, and pulls the trigger. She falls to the ground, dead.
Sora picks the gun out of her hand, and aims it at himself. He puts down the note he has been carrying the whole time, and fires at himself.
To whoever may find this, This is the Last Message of Kairi Kitimi and Sora Hikari. Tonight, we are going to go to the beach and shoot ourselves (well, by the time anyone's found us, we will have). Call us crazy. We've decided this world is crazy. A dirty, terrible, crazy mess which will try to tear us apart. We won't let it. We're too pure for this world, we don't want our love to be spoiled. This is why we're doing this. You' will dirty our love, and we can't stand for that. So... That's all folks... ~Sora Hikari and Kairi Kitimi.
***
“No! KAIRI!” Riku screams as he looks down at the face of the sapphire-eyed girl. His concern for Sora's body has been coldly disregarded as soon as he saw Kairi. Dead. Kairi Kitimi. Dead.
Riku finds the note. He reads, crumples it up, and a tear runs down his face. “HOW COULD YOU SORA?” he screams at the sky. “BEFORE I COULD AT LEAST BE FRIENDS WITH HER? HOW COULD YOU TAKE HER TO DEATH?” he screams. “Kairi! KAIRI!” he's screaming at the sky again. “I know you love Sora with all your heart, BUT I STILL LOVE YOU! PLEASE, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!” he screams, and everyone is concerned about the teenage boy who is screaming, as if the dead couple could hear him.
***
The funerals are held three days later. Riku's speech is the main part of the ceremony, as it is so captivating.
Yet he can't remember a word of it.
Enter stage left Sara!

A/N: A little pick-me-up from your vibrant but depressing tale, Emma. I'm such a romantic around the holidays, so beware.
[shadow=red,left,300]Sleep Talking[/shadow]
At Kairi's house, Kairi had been helping Sora all night, mapping and planning Sora's journey to new worlds. Not a wink of sleep in 16 hours had crept over the two. Riku lay completely zonked out beside the coffee table Sora and Kairi had been working at, thunderous snores escaping him with each breath he took.
"So," Sora began before he was interrupted by a yawn that stretched his mouth out painfully. "What worlds have we covered so far?" he asked Kairi doze fully. Kairi herself had been nodding off and awoke with Sora's voice.
"Oh, um" she said sleepily, rustling through a mass of papers as her mouth opened broadly with tiredness. "We've got Twilight Town, Port Royal, Radiant- What's that look for?" Kairi asked Sora who was gazing at her with a doofy grin.
"You know, when someone yawns, if another person yawns after them, it usually means that person likes the original yawner," he explained coyly while trying to impress Kairi with logical speech.
"Oh really? Well, if your hand is as big as your face, it means you have cancer," she remarked, testing his stupidity. He held his hand to his face worriedly. Indeed, his hand span matched that of his face.
"Is there a cure?!?!?!" he asked, panicked at his chronic illness. He couldn't stop checking if his hand really was the size of his face.
"You dope, that's just a fib. You're sickeningly gullible," Kairi relied groggily, yawning hugely once again. Seeing this made Sora yawn himself.
"You see? I don't make these things up! You yawned, I like you, so I yawned, too!" he exclaimed, trying to prove his theory.
"Well then, if you like me so much, you'll lend me your shoulder. Riku hogged all the pillows." Just then, a loud roar passed through Riku's nostrils, making Kairi jump and Sora snigger at Riku's powerful snore. Kairi scooched her way next to Sora and rested her head on his right shoulder and shut her eyes to go to sleep.
"The best things in life cannot be seen. That's why we close our eyes when we wish, dream, and kiss," Sora stated, trailing off shyly at the last suggestion- kissing.
"That's the most ridiculous philosophy I've ever heard. Besides, dissection in 7th grade couldn't have been done with my eyes closed, nor could I have found that snake pit in the woods with my eyes closed," she pointed out, adjusting comfortably to Sora's muscular shoulder.
"You find pleasure in the oddest things," he said, raising a brow. "But think of this, for your fifth birthday, I blind-folded you and-"
"And you...threw me down a hill," Kairi finished for him, pausing to yawn. He yawned right after wards.
"True, but what did you find at the bottom of the hill?" he said, unknowingly stroking her left arm that rest on his chest right now.
Kairi began to smile dreamily, remembering what awaited her at the bottom of the hill.
"You built me a fort for us to play in out of mud and your mother's white table cloth," she said laughing at the thought of Sora's mother's face when she found out.
"And do you remember the fort's name?" he asked her, happy that she had remembered his gift to her.
"Fort Kairi and Sora," she whispered, sounding choked up with the fond memories.
"It took me 3 days to build that, and now my philosophy is stupid to you? Why Kairi, I'm hurt," he told her with mock sadness. Kairi simply nuzzled his neck affectionately and Sora quivered with joy. She was beginning to doze off again, too sleepy to respond with too many words.
"Fine, I believe you," Kairi said, not caring if she lost an argument now. She was too tired to care.
"I'll just let you sleep..." he said, resting his head on hers, and almost instantly, Kairi was just as knocked out as Riku. Only quieter.
Sora sat, stroking the ivory skinned arm that wrapped around his collar bone. Kairi was sound asleep, her serene breathing close to his hear. It made him feel safe, not for himself, but knowing she was there with him where no harm could reach her. He felt safe for her. Then he felt the silky head of hair beneath his cheek move slightly.
Kairi mumbled words that Sora couldn't hear clearly. She mumbled them again and again and they eventually became audible.
"Please don't go, not again...," she said miserably. She became restless in his arms, clutching his shirt tighter with every plead.
"I'm not going anywhere," Sora assured her, embracing her tightly. She was having a nightmare.
"Thank you, thank you," she praised him, thinking his voice was part of this nightmare-gone-dream. Sora felt a tear dampen his shirt and looked down to see that Kairi was crying. She was crying because of a nightmare of him. The idea of this made Sora feel excruciatingly horrible- he himself had caused Kairi torment by not being with her more.
Suddenly, Kairi awoke with a terrified shriek and began to sob. Sora held her, scared at what was wrong with the love of his life.
"You're still here! Oh, thank God!" she cried, collapsing into Sora's arms. "I thought you were gone and I didn't even say good bye! You could never leave without me saying good bye first!" Kairi was hysterical with tears now, barley breathing.
"I know, I know! I wouldn't leave without seeing you first, I wouldn't," Sora comforted her, absolutely petrified as to what Kairi had gone through in her sleep. She began to calm down, breathing steadier with quick, short breaths.
"Kairi, do you always have these nightmares?" Sora asked her, praying to God that the answer was no.
She sat upright, assisting Sora in wiping away her tears. "Not always, no. Just when I know you're about to leave. I don't want you to go, I get scared for you," she shuddered.
"I swear to you, I'll come back when I leave," he said firmly, making sure Kairi knew he would keep his word.
"Promise?"
"Hey, I'm here right now aren't I?" he said with a laugh, trying to lighten the mood. A drowsy yawn followed his gleefull words.
"But you said the best things happen when our eyes our closed," Kairi said glumly, yawning afterwards which made more tears stream down her flushed cheeks. "Like dreaming. That was the worst dream I've had yet. And wishing? Every time you prepare for a journey, I wish on the penny you gave me in 3rd grade that you'll stay and it never works," Kairi broke down, making herself sound like a royal failure.
"But you're forgetting the last thing I said," Sora reminded her with a cheery whisper, realizing that Riku was still asleep. Kairi looked up slowly, her indigo eyes glossy with tears and striking with anguish.
Sora took her by her shoulders and pulled her to him abruptly, actually bumping the coffee table. He pressed his lips to hers compassionately, hoping that Kairi would realize she would never, ever lose him. She relaxed her lips to his, and they were suddenly like one object- the parts could never be apart, and what came together, stayed together. And as Sora's theory stated, both of their eyes were closed.
Once pulled apart, Sora smiled giddily as Kairi looked at him dumbstruck.
"Kissing," he said, finishing the statement he started before his affectionate act. "Our eyes were closed, and underneath that confused look I know you're happy."
Kairi did smile. "Ehm, one thing..."
"What?"
"I peeked," Kairi said, now with a proud grin. She had enjoyed the kiss with her eyes slightly open.
"Well then, I'll just test my theory until it works," and he put his hand over her eyes and kissed her again. This time, the kiss was shorter, for Sora had to pull away to yawn. He hadn't slept at all this whole time. After yawning, he waited for Kairi to.
"Well...?!" he pressured her.
"You yawn, I yawn, Jack," she said, giving in with a smile. At least his yawning theory had prooven accurate. Kairi fell asleep again, her head resting on Sora's chest as Sora cradled her. Sora hung his head down, positioning himself so that his lips were by her neck, and the two dozed off to a secure place in eachother's hearts.

One last wish…
I knew it would happen. Someday, we would be separated.
But I never thought it would happen this way.
Holding hands… Time’s almost up. There isn’t a way to save him.
Sora.
He’s left us, though he’s still here. The nobodies might be gone. The heartless might be, too. But that doesn’t stop death.
‘The Death Sleep’ Professor Mainey (A/N: Do they have a doctor??) called it. He won’t wake up. But I know he can hear me. And when I sleep, I hear him too. He’s calling my name. The desperation in his voice alarms me.
‘Kairi! Wake me up!’
But I can’t. I looked at the lucky charm I had slipped into his hand last week. He had closed his hand over it tightly, and I thought he had been waking up. But it was just movement in his sleep.
He didn’t look any better. His cheeks, which were usually a healthy pink, were now pale. His breathing was shallow.
He shifted every few minutes, and every time, a droplet of hope formed.
But, it seems, all luck was gone. Everyone else had stopped visiting him weeks ago.
Nobody wanted to be there when he died.
But I stayed there day and night. I couldn’t leave him now.
Not when he needed me most.
I shut my eyes. ‘Sora…’ I whispered. ‘Sora, hold on!’
As I opened my eyes, I saw his intent blue eyes look up at me.
The eyes I had missed so much.
‘Sora!’ I wrapped my arms around him. ‘Kairi!’ He did the same. ‘Kairi, I wish…’ He trailed off.
NO!
‘You’re still here Sora! You’re still here, with me!’
I cried over him for the rest of the night. But he wasn’t there to wake up.
A/N: - teartear – My meaningful and sad story… ;D

A/N: I’m on a roll…
I wrote Roxas and Naminé as eight year olds, so I just HAD to do Sora and Kairi.
Besides.
Sora’s one hawt little kid … I swear! >.> -is totally not a pedo-
And I have always wanted to write a scene like this. KH3 idea of a Kaiora scene cut from the fic, numbah one! Blue eyes met violet ones one day.
That’s how it all began.
The girl had just come to the islands, and was very, very shy. Sora thought being shy was kind of weird. People shouldn’t be shy. Because then no one would have any friends, and that’d be very bad. Yup, very very bad.
“I’m Sora.” Sora said loudly as his mom and the girl’s mom conversed. The girl blinked her eyes. She had pretty eyes. But Sora couldn’t think that. Girls had cooties. That’s what Riku said! And anything Riku said was true. Riku was 9, and so he was always right.
“Kairi.” The girl said, and smiled. She had a pretty smile too. And pretty hair. She reminded Sora of one of those princesses from fairy tales.
Yup. That’s how it all began.
Sora and Kairi quickly became friends. Riku, however, was reluctant to let Kairi in his little posse of friends. “She’s a GIRL, Sora.” Riku would persist. Sora would always jump to her defense, like a knight in shining armor. “But she’s special. AND she is my friend.” Sora would say, his hands curling up into tiny fists. Riku would just laugh. Girls and boys being friends? Just didn’t mix. So Sora was not allowed to show Kairi the guys’ secret hideout.
So the two sat on Sora’s living room floor, drawing pictures of random things with crayons.
“Bah. Crayons break easily.” Kairi said, as she started peeling off the paper of the blue crayon she had snapped in half.
“Could be chalk. Now that breaks.” Sora said, and Kairi nodded, agreeing with him. Sora wondered if there was a way for them to draw without breaking crayons or chalk… You could draw with rocks in the boys’ hideout… But he’d have to take Kairi there, and she was a girl. But Riku was on vacation. Eh, it wouldn’t hurt, would it? Riku would never know.
It’d be his and Kairi’s little secret.
“Hey, Kairi. I have an idea. There’s a place where you can draw and what you’re drawing with doesn’t break, well, ‘cause it’s kind of a rock…” Sora said, trailing off. Kairi raised an eyebrow, catching on.
“But I’m not allowed in your guys’ hideout.” She said, surprised.
“Well, you should be. Because if any of them decided to actually get to know you, they’d find out that you were actually the nicest and prettiest girl in the world.” Sora blurted out. He blinked. Oh, god, what did he just say? The cooties must’ve gotten to him. Shoot.
“Aw, Sora! That was sweet.” Kairi said, smiling, and Sora felt the temperature rise in his face. Cooties were evil. Eeeeeviiiiiil.
“T-thanks.” He said, scratching his head of ruffled chocolate-colored hair. “C’mon, let me take you to the hideout. It’s officially named The Secret Place.”
That day was the start of many secretly planned trips to the cave. The first day there, they drew each other on the back wall. (“There’s so many pictures in here, it’s not like anyone’s gonna notice.” Sora had assured her.)
Little did they know how much that picture would later mean to them.
;&;
They were about to leave for other worlds on a raft. Possibly never to see the islands again. So Sora had to visit the Secret Place one more time. Riku was being very nice to Kairi lately, more so than usual. Sora knew Riku liked Kairi. It was hard not to like Kairi. She had gotten very pretty. Sora let out a sigh. It would be very hard to win her over. Riku was better at everything. Sora looked fondly at the drawing, remembering how naïve the two of them were. Smiling at the memory, he picked up a rock and added him handing what looked like a star to her. It was said if two people shared one, their destines became intertwined, no matter what. Sora wished that could happen. Because he was certain of one thing- -he was definitely in love with her. ;&; Kairi sighed. Everything had happened so fast. Her world blackened, and when she woke up, she saw Sora fade into golden light- he was dead. He had killed himself to save her. Sora… Stupid, stupid Sora. Then she saw him again- he was a Heartless, but she didn’t care. He would always be her Sora, no matter what happened. But her voice brought him back, and he held her close for the first time, with nothing to break them apart. She wished that he’d never have to let go. Because she was certain of one thing- -she was definitely in love with him. ;&; “Kairi, remember what you said before? I’m always with you too! I’ll come back to you- I promise!”
“I know you will!”Those were their last words to each other. Kairi now wished she had said something along the lines of “I love you”. Because he hadn’t come back to her. Yet. Now she was slipping. Her mind was starting to slowly forget about him- but her heart wasn’t. She wasn’t ready to just let go. She loved him, and he loved her, and she knew it. The drawing was proof. The night, that fateful night she had been sent back to the islands was when she saw it. Tears had cascaded down her ivory colored skin, just crying her heart out, as it was broken into one million little pieces. But what if he didn’t come back to her? That was one question she would never, EVER want to hear the answer ‘no’ to. So she took the one option she had. She went looking for him. ;&; Sora let out a sigh. He had been sleeping for a year (the heck?) and then he had to go and battle Heartless and Nobodies across the worlds. He had not been able to return home. So Kairi, his sweet Kairi, had put herself in danger by going and looking for him. Sora blushed as they met again for the first time in years… She was so pretty… Not that she hadn’t been before. But now was gone the happy sparkle from her eyes, replaced with a gleam of determination. Oh, how Sora wanted them to sparkle again. Maybe they would… just for him? Nah… She’d never love a guy like him. Especially when she could do so much better. “You and Riku never came home, so I came looking for you.” She said to him, her voice low, her eyes searching his face, Sora winced, and felt as if someone had just stabbed him right through. He had broken his promise to her. He’d said he’d come home. But he didn’t. He felt ashamed, and looked away, not being able to meet her lovely gaze. “I’m sorry…” He said, and did not expect for Kairi to throw herself at him, and cling to him as if there were to be no tomorrow. “This is real…” She whispered into his ear, and Sora felt something hot stream down his neck and he realized she was crying, but at the same time, she was smiling. She buried her head into the crook of his neck, and Sora circled his arms around her. One moment of peace. Maybe, perhaps, she did love him, after all…? ;&; “W-we’re back.”
“You’re home.”They locked gazes- blue and purple clashing with one another. Nothing could separate them again. ;&; Sora smiled as he walked into the Secret Place. He hadn’t been here in ages. Not since right before they left, almost two years ago. It seemed like an eternity. Sora walked, unknowingly making the same steps Kairi had almost a year ago, until he had crouched down and noted the drawing. He blinked. Unless his mind was deceiving him, it looked different from when he had last left it. Then it hit him. Kairi had added a bit to it. “Heh.” Sora said, placing his hand on the rock, fondly. He then snapped his head around as he heard footsteps, and turned to see Kairi leaning against one of the rocks at the entrance. “Hm… I was wondering if you’d see that. I was wondering if you could still even fit through the entrance to here, for that matter.” Kairi said, smiling, and Sora smiled back. He couldn’t help but smile with her; she was just so… so… Well, whatever she was, it was indescribable. Before he knew it, Kairi had tackled him and threw her arms around him, knocking them both to the ground. Sora felt so giddy, just being there with her. This is what love was. Kairi traced his lips with her fingertips before placing a kiss on them, it was short and sweet, just as he always imagined it to be. Her lips tasted a bit like strawberries. And to think, it all started when they were drawing with crayons. A/N: :3; Fluffy? Corny? Cliché? I don’t know, I don’t care!

Runaway Bridesmaid
A/N: More tragedy by me. >D I'm evil.
“Oooh, this is so romantic Kairi,” I hear Selphie squeal behind me as Olette and Sora hold hands, the priest reads off the lines, and I'm desperately trying not to fall down on my knees and be reduced to a shaking, sobbing mess.
“Yeah,” I say, slightly higher pitched then usual. Selphie didn't notice.
“I Do,” I here Olette say. I bite my lip. I know what comes next. The priest asked Sora, he replied.
“I Do,” I feel a tear stream down my face. No-one notices.
“You may kiss the bride,” and so Sora does. He kisses Olette with an insane passion. I throw down the bouquet I'm carrying and run. Run far away from the chapel, crying. My pale pink dress is hard to run in, but I don't let that hold me back.
“Kairi!” I'm not listening. I run inside, to where the reception. I see a wedding cake, and the knife that would be used to cut it. But not now. Not with what I'm going to do. I hope.
Would anyone cut a wedding cake with a knife soaked in my blood?
I pick up the knife.
“Kairi, what's going on?” Aerith asks worriedly.
“Olette,” I choke out through my tears, “Your so lucky. Lucky lucky lucky.”
“What the hell Kairi?”
“Sora,” I say. “I love you,” I stab myself, unfortunately ruining the dress. It was a nice dress.
And it's the most important thing that just got destroyed.
A/N: Sora you son of a bitch. >OOOO

Sneezes
Based on the old superstition that if you sneeze for no reason, someone is talking about you behind your back.
Sora grinned as the redhead across the quad talking to Selphie sneezed mid-sentence. He turned to Riku, and said her name again. She sneezed.
“Sora, that’s just mean.” Riku scolded, frowning down at him. Sora pouted.
“But it’s fun! Kairi.” He chuckled as Kairi sneezed yet again. He groaned as Riku backhanded him across the head.
“Oh, I get it. You’re making her sneeze because you think she sneezes cutely. You weirdo. Aw, crap. I gotta go. Professor Burns wants me to try out for the archery team. See ya later Sora, and don’t make her sneeze anymore!” Riku called as he sprinted off towards the school gym.
Sora folded his arms and leant against the redbrick school walls, watching as Selphie hugged Kairi, and ran off to some unknown destination. Kairi looked around before spotting him. She jogged over with a greeting.
“Hey Sora! Can you believe it, it’s the end of summer and I got a cold! I can’t stop sneezing!” she exclaimed as Sora straightened up. He grinned at her.
“Sorry, that was me.” Kairi stared at him confusedly. She was cute when she was confused too.

Starry Skies
Another little thing from me. This time, it's not so happy! YAY!
Kairi sighed, as she watched another star go out. It shot across the sky, leaving a trail of fire. She wrapped her arms around her knees, resting her chin on the back of her hand. She wiggled her toes in the sand, digging her feet in everytime a wave washed over them.
She sighed again, looking up as the thirteenth star that night shot across the sky before her. She looked at her pocket as a familiar ringtone began to play.
‘This time, this place, misused, mistakes. Too long, too late, who was I to make you wait?’
Kairi took out her phone, looking at the caller ID. She groaned, and slid up the phone.
“What now, Riku?” she answered before her best friend had a chance to talk.
“Temper, temper. Anyways, are you watching them at the beach?” he asked, referring to the stars.
“Yes, why?” she snapped, her patience on a short line.
“The thirteenth star is about to hit the water.” Kairi looked up as the star plummeted towards the sea. “I want you to check it out.” Kairi stood, watching as the star plunged into the dark depths. She held her breath, waiting for it to rise, hoping for it to rise.
“Well, Kairi? Is it?” Riku asked. Kairi scowled, and hurled her phone against the Paopu tree. She dropped to her knees, and clenched the sand beneath her, her tears staining the ground.
“Who are you to make me wait, Sora?”

Glitter
This has been my favourite oneshot so far! It was so much fun to write!
Kairi skipped down the hall happily, leaving a trail of gold glitter in her wake. People stared after her, and giggled. She turned and stuck her tongue out at them, glitter flying out from her hair.
“If you think I’m bad, you should see Sora.” She remarked, leaving with flourish of her wrist, sending more glitter flying. Bursts of laughter echoed through the hall, as a gold sparkly monster came stomping down the corridor.
“KAIRI! GET BACK HERE!” People recognised the voice as Sora Hikari’s screaming down the hall. The redhead turned and squealed delightedly, clapping her hands.
“Aw, Sora, you look like a Christmas bauble! All glittery!” she exclaimed, throwing her arms up in the air and spreading even more glitter on the floor and over passing students. Sora scowled.
“I don’t like gold sparkles. And neither should you!” he yelled, while Kairi scratched her head confusedly.
“Why wouldn’t I like gold spar- oh…Oh. I forgot about that.”
“How on earth could you forget about it?” Sora folded his arms and stared at Kairi who was looking thoroughly miserable. Kairi sighed.
“I don’t know. I mean, I even brought you back after the sparkles disappeared.” The watching pupils were extremely confused, some muttering to each other, others listening intently. Laughter burst through the hushed crowd.
“How on earth did you two get yourselves like that?” Riku asked between peals of laughter. Kairi giggled. Sora just pouted even more, the sombre air between them gone.
“Well, long story short, Sora finally kissed me, and I dumped glue and glitter over him!” Sora let out an enraged shout as the corridor burst into nervous giggles. Riku clapped. Kairi squeaked, and ran from Sora, who had the (glitter covered) Kingdom Key out, and was chasing her.
They left a trail of glitter around the school.

Cause and Effect
“Sora, PLEASE. There are better ways out,” I pleaded.
“Like what Kairi?” he asked. “I'm so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so sorry for doing this, but... It's really the only thing I can do.”
Kairi bit her lip. “Alright. I understand. Just do it. But, I love you...”
“Kairi,” Sora said seriously, “As heartless as this sounds, stop loving me. Just go and live your life and married and have kids and one day you'll barely remember me. Okay, is that a promise?”
“No,” Kairi said. “I never break a promise, and I could never do that.”
“Kairi...” Sora said sympathetically, and stroked her hair.
Kairi cried. “I'm so hopeless. I'm sorry Sora but... Your my everything. You're the world to me. I'm not entirely sure I could go on without you.”
Sora held her. “I'm sorry.”
“That's it,” Kairi said, wiping away her tears. “I'm coming with you.”
“What?” Sora asked. “Kairi, please, I don't want this.”
“Sora, you know I'm nothing without you,” Kairi informed him. “If you pull that trigger without me, I'm as dead as I'll ever be. Face the facts Sora, we need each other. Even in death.”
“Alright,” Sora said. “You can come with me Kairi.”
“We've been talking too long,” Kairi panicked. “People will come looking soon.”
“Yeah. I love you Kairi,” he kissed her, then held a knife to his throat. “See you up there...” he slit his throat.
“I'm coming...” she said, and held the said knife up to her throat, and did the exact same thing as Sora.
“What's going on in there?” a few voices shouted from outside. They opened the door, and there were Riku, Selphie, Tidus and Wakka.
“No. This CAN'T be happening,” Riku said.
“What. Happened. Here?” Selphie said, already crying.
“That's... No, they can't of done that. I mean, it's THEM. The 1st and 3rd happiest people on the islands!” Tidus said in shock.
“Oh mah gawd...” was all Wakka had to contribute.
“Freeze!” the four friends of the dead couple heard. It was the police.
“WE SWEAR WE DID NOTHIING!” Selphie screamed.
“Well, you are the most likely suspects. And, Riku Rin, is the engraving on this not also your mother's knives she uses in the kitchen?” The police man actually knew Riku. He was a mentor of his mother's, in some things. His mother never elaborated.
“Well, yes, but I swear--” Riku was cut of.
“You are all under arrest for the suspected murders of Kairi Kitimi and Sora Hikari.”
“But we didn't do anything!” Riku shouted as they were dragged away. Selphie was crying again.
“Tell it to the judge,” one of the police men said coldly.

A/N: Spur of the moment. It's kinda short. And bittersweet... [She's crying over the {heartache} that they say {never completely goes a w a y
}] Tears that sparkled like diamonds dripped down her face. She wondered where he was today. Which star was he on? Was he in pain? Was he happy? Did he even miss her? Did he even love her? She knew he did. Their little drawing in the cave proved it. But, still, he hadn't come home. Was he avoiding her? Did he not want to come home? Home to her? "If you had to leave, Sora," Kairi cried to the ocean, knowing that no one was there, no one would hear her, Sora wouldn't hear her, but it felt good to yell at something, "you could have at least kissed me goodbye!" Drip! Drop! Went her tears into the rising and falling waves. "Because... I love you." A/N: Uhm... Yeah. ; My Namixas shall be on Emma's soon... I wrote it in study hall...

Guns and Roses
Kairi trudged along the road in the middle of the graveyard, hand bleeding and she didn’t really care. Whilst she was walking, she remembered the events that led to her walking this road.
Kairi felt someone’s hands over her eyes. “Sora,” she smiled.
Sora grinned and sat down. “How’d you guess?”
“You’re the only person I know who’s childish enough to do that,” Kairi answered.
Sora pouted, then handed her a rose. “I got you this? Is that childish?”
Kairi grinned, “Nope. Extremely corny, but not childish,” she kissed him. That was them. The school’s golden couple.
But that’s when the gunshot came.
Kairi was at the grave, and a tear came to her eye. Sora had been the first victim. She didn’t actually know who had done the massacre, all she knew was that in the end they had taken their own life.
Kairi hoped they burned in the fires of hell.
Kairi stared at the gravestone she had trudged through the graveyard to see.
“Sora Hikari, 6th of December 1990-17th of July 2007. Here lays what's left of Sora Hikari, who died taking a bullets for the one he loved.
Sora had died protecting her from a bullet. Kairi looked at the grave. “I'm so sorry Sora...” she whimpered, and put down the thing she had been carrying the whole time, which was making her hand bleed.
A red rose.

A/N: Kaiora times!
Kind of tragic, I guess, at the end. Well, no, not tragic, you just end up feeling bad for Sora.
Twilight Town- S e c o n d Visit
“Hey, Sora, do you know a girl by the name of Kairi…?” Pence had inquired Sora in a bit of a small voice, sounding slightly unsure. Sora couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“K-k-k-kairi?!” Sora said, his blue eyes wide in astonishment, and his heart fluttered inside his chest, and the butterflies in his stomach weren’t just flitting about, they were having seizures. “You bet I do!” Sora cried, feeling a bit of the heartache he had felt when his friends had romances that ended happily, like Will and Elizabeth, or Donald and Daisy.
“C’mon, then.” Pence said, his brown eyes lighting up happily. So she was right. (He didn’t really doubt her, the way her eyes lit up and her face flushed with the color pink, and also how she seemed to talk faster whenever it was about Sora, which was really her one and only subject to talk about.) “She’s at the station with Hayner and Olette.” Pence said, and ran with his usual waddle. Sora followed him; longing to see the girl he had missed so much, and cared for more than anything. Donald and Goofy looked at each other with knowing looks in their eyes, and followed Sora and Pence as well.
Sora skidded to a stop as he reached the Station Plaza, recognizing Olette and Hayner, and his pulse sped up for the second time as he watched the sun reflect prettily off some dark auburn hair. She was talking to Olette, and her friend pointed over to where Sora was standing, and it was as if she had turned in slow motion. They got a glimpse of each other for the first time since that day almost a year and a half ago.
Sora blinked his cerulean eyes. She had changed- but for the better. If anything, she was more beautiful, something that Sora had not thought possible. Her hair was longer, she was taller, and her figure was as fragile (for lack of a better term. Anything else would probably get him slapped one way or another.)
However, the look in her violet eyes, that determination, that spark of never-ending hope, was still the same, just like the smile that was now playing on her pink lips.
“Sora…? Is that really you…?” Kairi said slowly, taking one slow step forward, not wanting to believe what she saw. Gone was the timid Sora from the island days, and now before her a teen with serious determination, and his frame no longer small but rather muscular. (Oooh he’s model gorgeous. Not that he wasn’t always… Kairi had thought to herself.)
“Yes, Kai.” Sora said, softly, using the affectionate shortening of her name. “It really is me.” He let out a small sideways kind of grin, just like the ones he always used to have before the islands had been destroyed that day.
Without any notice whatsoever, Kairi had run up and flung her arms around him, causing Sora to stumble back just a bit. Tears leaked from beneath her eyelids, and she nuzzled his face with hers lovingly, eyelashes tickling his face, leaving drops of salty tears onto his tanned skin. Sora wrapped his arms around her, one arm around her waist, the other hand up in her hair, running his fingers through her silky locks.
Hayner sniggered and Donald let out a wolf-whistle. The duck grinned mischievously. “Kairi’s coming onto him!” He said, cackling. Goofy glared at him and Olette smack the duck upside the head. Sora and Kairi, however, took no notice at all.
Kairi’s head was now neatly tucked under Sora’s chin, and Sora felt the temperature rise in his face. He didn’t think they had ever been any closer than this. Kairi’s lips were near his neck, and he blushed when they grazed his skin slightly when she spoke.
“I missed you… I didn’t want to think that you weren’t coming home… That’d… that’d be unbearable.” She murmured, her hands gripping onto his shirt as Sora rocked her gently in his arms.
“I’m so sorry…” Sora said into her hair, continuing to stoke it. It broke his heart to think that he had caused her grief. He had broken his promise to her.
“What about?” Kairi inquired, her left index finger now trailing along his neck, her touch like a million butterfly kisses.
“What do you mean, ‘what about’?” Sora said, surprised, and Kairi looked up at him, her violet eyes blinking. “I broke my promise. I didn’t come back to you.”
“But you weren’t done saving the worlds yet. I meant after that.” Kairi giggled quietly, and Sora softened, he loved her laugh more than anything else. She pulled away slightly, Sora already missed the warmth of her body. She cocked her head to the side, her eyes sparkling knowingly. “Did you think I wouldn’t like you anymore then I already do?” She laughed again. “Silly. I can’t like you anymore than I already do. Because…” Sora’s heart nearly thumped out of his chest as she leaned in and whispered three words he desperately wanted to hear.
“I love you.”
Sora then heard squawking- Donald’s voice.
“Sora? Sora?!”
Sora blinked.
He was on the Gummi Ship, headed for Radiant Garden. Kairi had been kidnapped by Axel. He didn’t get to Twilight Town in time.
“Sora…” His duck friend poked him questioningly.
“Sorry…” Sora said, running a hand through his hair, blush creeping upon his face. “Just imagining stuff… daydreaming… you know…”
{His romance was all [imaginary]}
A/N: Poor Sora-Wora…

Sora was slightly surprised when at school the next day he felt someone cling to him from behind and looked to his right to see red tresses falling on his shoulder as the someone who just so turned out to be Kairi rested her head on his shoulder.
"I always loved to defy the impossible." She said quietly into his ear.
"Why shouldn't you?" He questioned, and lightly kissed her. A/N: SO OKAYS I COULDN'T END IT RIGHT. >.<
